Villa Vitellino is situated among the gentle green hills of Umbria bordering Tuscany. Only a fifteen minute drive to Cortona, the area described in Frances Mayes' 'Under the Tuscan Sun'. The farmhouse, dating back to the 18th century, has been lovingly restored into five self-contained apartments yet maintaining its original characteristics. Terracotta floors, exposed timber beams, hand painted tiles, antique furniture and comfortable beds are just some of the features appreciated by our guests.
The old farmhouse enjoys beautiful views of the surrounding Umbrian and Tuscan countryside including Lake Trasimeno. It is located in a very convenient position for visiting beautiful, historical and artistic cities of Umbria and Tuscany like Cortona as well as Florence, Rome, Siena, San Gimignano, Assisi, Perugia, Pienza and Montepulciano. There are five tastefully furnished apartments of different sizes. Each has its own fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom, television, central heating and terrace. Some also have an open fireplace.
Clients have the use of linen and towels, laundry facilities, mountain bikes, carpark, garden, gazebo and barbecue for dining 'al fresco' as well as the beautiful, refreshing swimming pool with spa.
Heating in the winter months is paid separately and calculated on consumption. H orse riding, windsailing, mountain bike riding, hiking and golf are just some of the activities offered in the immediate area. There are many restaurants specialising in the local cuisine and the red and white wines produced in the area are famous all over the world.
Guests return year after year from all over the world to enjoy the exceptionally warm and friendly atmosphere that Barbara and Massimo have created thanks to a family-run business.
